Mardin Province in the southwest of the hill under Kasimiye Madrasa construction Artuklu period began, Sultan By November the 1487 - was completed in 1502. Madrasa's construction date is unknown. Aqquyunlu ruler Cihangiroglu November Mardin has started work to repair a wide range, as well as some of the buildings was built in the madrasas.
Kasimiye Madrasa reflects the architectural features of XIV Artuklu. Made of stone and soft local stone was shifted to the left side of the entrance door of the madrasa. Decoration Chain illustrates familiarity with Madrasa. A generation turbans outside the door, inside corner columns and an arch are three sections. This is a dome above the entrance door from the barrel-vaulted corridor is introduced. This mosque courtyard and is accessed from the hallway. Domed mosque with a square space on the sides of the barrel-vaulted spaces has occurred.The courtyard behind the madrasa rooms extending in three directions are listed. Striking with striped domes of the south portico of the shrine is located. Also in the north courtyard with pool has a main iwan. This is a barrel-vaulted room antechamber were placed on either side. Madrasa lower and upper floor plans are equal to each other.
